The new requirements for reducing CO2 releases have forced all the manufacturers to lighten vehicles. In consequence, Nidaplast developed a range of products especially adapted for this sector in order to answer their various concerns.
Our range of products has been designed to be adapted to various techniques of implementation for the realization of parts in the transport sector. The use of honeycombs is more and more appreciated to replace wood.The polypropylene honeycombs, mainly used for replacing plywood or foam panels, have the advantage to be light, water-proof and structural. A panel with a nidaplast and polyester skins is a good solution to save 5kg/m2 compared to a traditional plywood : more than 50% of its initial weight. In a rigid trailer of 13m, it is possible to save more than 500kg/ trailer.
